Facebook IQ is the division that analyzes user trends and provides data that helps advertisers more effectively target their marketing. Prior to Facebook’s brand unification in 2020, Facebook IQ sought to carve out an ownable space within the corporate brand that would help position the division as a thought leader, and the premier resource for consumer insights.
To help create a more distinct visual identity, while still adhering to the parent brand, we focused on bringing data to life through unique visual interactions and an emphasis on motion. To bring that data to life, we created a visual direction that intertwined the stats with the human, building a more personal connection to the numbers. We delivered a robust digital brand guide that illustrated this new position through a number of print and digital tactics. The result was an over 1000% increase in site visits and 15,000 more whitepaper downloads over the prior year.
